On October 26, 2024, actors performed the acrobatic stage play “Brilliant China” at the Beijing Red Theater.
On the evening of that day, the finale of the “New Era, New Journey – National Excellent Acrobatic Drama Jinjing Exhibition”, jointly organized by the China Federation of Literary and Art Circles, China Acrobatic Association, and other units, was performed at the Red Theater in Beijing, with the acrobatic stage play “Brilliant China” created and arranged by the Suining Acrobatic Troupe in Sichuan Province.
The Suining Acrobatic Troupe in Sichuan, China, was established in 1974, formerly known as the Tongjia Class Acrobatic Troupe. There are currently over 80 cast members, with actor teams and student teams set up within the troupe. The average age of actors is 19.5 years old, making them a capable and energetic young acrobatic team. On the basis of inheriting traditional Chinese acrobatics skills, the troupe extensively incorporates the strengths of sister art, creatively creates and rehearses, and performs nearly 30 acrobatic programs with strong ethnic characteristics, full of the charm of the times, diverse forms, and exquisite skills. Programs such as “Top Bowl”, “Top Skill Ladder”, “Great Martial Arts”, “Stepping Circle”, “Rotating Disc”, and “Carrying Pole” have won awards in various acrobatic competitions both domestically and internationally. Among them, “Top Bowl” won the “Bronze Lion Award” in the National Children’s Acrobatic Competition. For a long time, in addition to persisting in touring major cities in China, the team has also been invited to perform in countries and regions such as France, Japan, Singapore, and Hong Kong and has been highly praised by friends. Has made positive contributions to enhancing friendly relations and cultural exchanges among people of various countries. In 1999, at the invitation of the organizing committee to celebrate the return of Macau, the acrobatic troupe performed in Macau and received unanimous praise from audiences at home and abroad. The Suining Acrobatic Troupe performed for a long time at the Beijing Red Theater at 16:00 every day.
